As an education consultant, we know the learning environment is changing rapidly, and we must shift the way we think about the teaching and learning process. We're on a mission to expand what it means when you FLIP a class, and we offer guidance and resources to support you and your students in this process.
Our model of the 'flipped class' is more than videos. Our work is based on the inverted model of instruction which integrates active learning, problem-based learning, experiential learning, and reflection. When you FLIP your classes using our model, you reverse how you design the learning environment so students focus on higher level learning outcomes during their time with you and with their peers. We're expanding the definition and defining the FLIP as the moments when you "Focus on your Learners by involving them in the Process."
When you FLIP your classes, you will:
- Increase student engagement and involvement.
- Build a community and foster collaboration among students.
- Enhance students' ability to solve problems and think critically.
- Encourage creativity.
- Decrease problematic classroom management behaviours.
- Help students apply the course material.
- Establish trust and acceptance among students.
- Create shared ownership of the learning environment.
- Increase students' skills in leadership and teamwork.
- Build students' confidence in their abilities.
Learners should find their learning challenging, engaging and motivating. We design curriculum to encourage high aspirations and ambitions for all learners. We believe at all stages, learners of all aptitudes and abilities should experience an appropriate level of challenge, to enable each learner to achieve his or her potential. Learners should be active in their learning and have opportunities to develop and demonstrate their creativity.
Learners should understand the purposes of their activities. They should see the value of what they are learning and its relevance to their lives, present and future.
The curriculum should respond to individual needs and support particular aptitudes and talents. It should give each learner increasing opportunities for exercising responsible personal choice as they move through their career.
There should be opportunities for learners to develop their full capacity for different types of thinking and learning. As they progress, they should develop and apply increasing intellectual rigour, drawing different strands of learning together, and exploring and achieving more advanced levels of understanding.
Resistance to change is the primary challenge most organizations face with their intended users, when implementing new technology. TrustGlobal recognized that for any new system to succeed in any environment it dependent on how quickly end-users adopt it, Trustglobal has carefully design a methodology CLIP (Captivate Learning Initiatives and Pedagogy) to help manage the process of change and user adoption to strategically delivered education content relevant to the local environment.
Academic Integrity is system design around SafeAssign to prevent plagiarism and to create opportunities to help students identify how to properly attribute sources rather than paraphrase.
SafeAssign compares your submitted assignments against a set of academic papers to identify areas of overlap between the submitted assignment and existing works. Academic Integrity is carefully designed to effectively detect and prevent plagiarism in schools. By checking students' work for improper citation or potential plagiarism against an online database, the system is versatile to deal with all internet copy-pasting and assignment authorship. The goal of this system is to help schools reduce the impact of plagiarism in educational institutions.

User Adoption & Awareness
Getting users to change their behaviour is one of the biggest hurdles to the successful deployment of a new system. Most people are resistant to change, even if it means "better, quicker, faster, or cheaper," because they know it will probably take more time for the same task, at least up front. One thing we are sure of is, that when dealing with upgrades, conversions or deployments of any kind, user adoption measures are the best predictor of program success.
With this in mind, we have a bottoms-up, top-down, inside-out approach to inspiring user adoption. Training is not just sitting in a classroom or reading a manual. To successfully change user behaviours requires creating a safe environment for users to try things out, and one that is similar enough to real life that user confidence grows with each experience. CLIP's approach to user adoption and change management is grounded and users focus to achieve faster result.
